Dr. Rogers Trust

Dr Rogers Trust was founded in 1600's by the then vicar of Holton, Dr Rogers to give financial help to "young men" of the parish of Holton.

In more recent times changes have been made to the Trust and now funds can be available to all young people between the ages of 14 and 21 who are resident in the parish of Holton.  The grants can be to assist with education cots such as books, a computer or tools for an apprenticeship and/or assistance with the cost of educational courses or trips.

The Trust's annual income is derived from bank interest and dividends from the investments held and it varies each year.  Interest rates on savings accounts continue to be variable but the dividends on our investments have held up well.  Our investments continue to fluctuate with the financial markets.

The Dr Rogers Trust bi-annual Minutes and Financial Accounts are sent to Holton Parish Council.

In the financial year ending 31st March 2024 the Trust awarded FIVE grants to young people in the village.

The current trustees are:

Carol Johnston, Trustee/Clerk
Trevor Gethins, Trustee/Treasurer
Maria Murray, Trustee
Andrea Pridmore, Trustee
Rev David Bendor-Samuel - ex officio
